On-Line Transmission Color Measurement

The ColorQuest® OL is an on-line spectrophotometer that continuously measures the color of light passing through film or sheet that are not hazy.* It is excellent for the in-process control of products with color, or the yellowness of colorless product. On-line color measurement gives you a continuous flow of information, which lets you make faster, better-informed decisions to optimize your process and maintain quality. The ColorQuest OL is comprised of a signal conditioning unit, source sensor head and receiver sensor head mounted on a support structure. The source and receiver heads are mounted on a support structure, and the sample passes between them. The signal conditioning unit has a built-in touch screen display. Prompts appearing on the display are simply touched with a finger to initiate dedicated product set-up and measurement applets. Data can be output to a LIMS or network or in analog form. For installations where the unit is not easily accessible, a remote touch screen is available and the system is available with EasyMatch OL color transmission software for use with a PC.

* Note: If the sample has any haze, the ColorQuest OL Haze system should be used.
