Display Screen (ColorFlex and MiniScan)

If the writing on your display is upside-down or sideways, adjust the screen orientation in the instrument setup.

If "gibberish" is displayed on your screen, examine it carefully.  If the characters are large and could possibly be Chinese, navigate to the instrument setup and change the language from Chinese to your preferred language.  The name "Instrument Setup" remains in English so you can find it and, although the rest of the instrument setup screen will be in Chinese, Language will be easy to locate, as it is the first parameter on the screen.  Once you change the language, move the mode switch to the Read (lightning bolt) position and the language should change.

If the display shows unusual characters that are not Chinese or is otherwise acting strangely, you may need to reset the unit.  First, archive the setups.  Then, reset the setups from the instrument menu.  The instrument memory should then be cleared and reset.

Note:  If you are using a ColorFlex Citrus, the hitch values for your OJ4 standard will be deleted when you reset the setups.  For ColorFlex Tomato, the hitch values for your tomato tile will be deleted when you reset the setups.  You will need to re-establish the hitch as described in Lesson 8 in your User's Guide.
