Possible Causes/Remedy |

LOW BATTERIES |
This message is displayed when the NiCd battery pack needs to be recharged or replaced. It may also be displayed when the instrument is being operated with the AC adapter and the adapter is malfunctioning. Either remove the NiCd battery pack and place it in a battery charger or plug the instrument into a power outlet via the AC adapter/recharger. The MiniScan XE Plus will not function until you have recharged the batteries or inserted the AC adapter. Contact HunterLab Order Processing at (703) 471-6870 to order a new AC adapter if yours is malfunctioning. |

ERROR NUMBER 001 |
This message is displayed when the internal lithium back-up memory battery fails the internal test that is performed each time MiniScan XE Plus is turned on. This is a warning that the instrument needs to be serviced soon. Stored data may be lost. Send the stored data to an output device and contact HunterLab for instrument service. |

FACTORY SERVICE REQUIRED |
This message is displayed when MiniScan XE Plus fails one of the internal diagnostics that is performed each time the instrument is turned on. This is an unrecoverable error and immediate factory service is required. |
