ColorQuest OnLine can be stored in an area with a temperature range of -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 70°C) for up to three weeks and can be operated under temperature conditions of 41°F to 104°F (5°C to 40°C). The ColorQuest OnLine may be operated under relative, non-condensing humidities between 10 and 90%.
Fluctuating temperatures may produce unstable readings, as the silicon detector is sensitive to rapid temperature changes. If the humidity is consistently above 80% for an extended period, long-term performance may be affected by oxidation (rusting) of electrical contacts. At humidities below 20%, static electricity may build up, so care should be taken that users are well grounded before using the instrument, or the instrument should be placed on a static mat.
