The MiniScan XE Plus utilizes a rechargeable NiCd battery pack or an external 120/220 V locking AC adapter. This is a universal power supply that will automatically adjust between 120 and 220 V (or anywhere in between). The only adjustment the user will need to make for voltage is to obtain and use the correct wall prong adapter if the power cord is not appropriate for the country of use.
